We’re proud to share that A1 Technologies has been named the number one Best Place to Work in Technology in Australia by Great Place to Work®.

And we did it while being fully remote. No headquarters, no gimmicks. Just a smart, supportive, and genuinely collaborative team that shows up for each other every day.

Two years of recognition, one very big result

This is our second consecutive year being recognised as a Great Place to Work® Certified organisation, and the first year we’ve entered the technology category on the Best Workplaces™ Australia list. We missed the entry deadline last year, so this year we were very keen to be part of it — and were genuinely surprised to not only make the list, but to take out the number one spot in the micro company category, which recognises tech businesses with fewer than 30 team members.

A recognition that comes from the inside

This recognition means a lot. Not because we’re chasing awards, but because it reflects the culture we’ve deliberately built. One that values trust, accountability and respect. It came directly from our team, through anonymous feedback about leadership, wellbeing and their day-to-day experience. That’s what makes it meaningful. This year, 100% of our people said they would recommend A1 Technologies as a great place to work. That tells us we’re doing something right.

Culture is not a place — it’s how you work together

We’ve always believed that a workplace isn’t defined by its location. Culture isn’t built in an office; it’s built through shared values and consistent actions. We trust each other to get the work done, support one another, and keep things human. That’s why we lead with transparency, prioritise outcomes over hours, and make space for flexibility without question. We also happen to have a strong meme game.

A culture that’s deliberate, not decorative

At A1, culture isn’t something we talk about once a year in a company meeting. It’s baked into how we hire, how we lead, and how we work together. We don’t tolerate egos or politics. We do back each other, share credit, and take responsibility. It’s not a complicated formula, but it does take intention and effort.
